Meet the Punto Restaurant Team!
Benvenuti. Welcome to Punto Restaurant where you are invited to experience some of the finest Italian food and wines in North London.
For 30 years, proprietors Paulo and Giovanni, have run some of North London’s longest established Italian restaurants. Puntos, known affectionately by its regulars is one of two in the area.
Paulo Agresti has run the establishment here at Punto for over 21 years. He is very well known in the area for his friendliness and great charm.
Giovanni Gugliemoni has been in partnership with Paulo for many years. He is also the proprietor of the group of restaurants which he has nurtured to excellence.
Pasquale Azzato completes the trio of management and has been part of the group for 30 years and ran with Giovanni, the renowned Abatone restaurant for decades.
“Dom”– our Italian Game and Meat dish specialist
Giandomenico Carollo-Canale who has been our specialty Chef for 3 years. He arrived in the UK from Italy in 1999. He has worked at some of the best restaurants in London including the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, Rules in Covent Garden and Little Italy in Soho. His services are still highly sought after and we are indeed proud to boast his presence.
“Vas” – our Italian Seafood and Pasta dish specialist
Vasco De Freitas trained in his home country of Madeira learning the fine subtle arts of fish cuisine. Upon arrival in London in 1988, he learned the delicacies of Pasta cooking from some of the best Italian Chefs in London at that time. He has been working across the group restaurants for over 15 years and is now highly cherished for his loyalty and skills.
With an able supporting cast of waiters, waitresses and chefs, Punto is the ideal spot to come and be entertained. We hope you will enjoy the experience and keep returning unto the fold where we will cherish your company.
We are also delighted to introduce you to our dear friend Caroline Zimmermann whose art we are proudly associated with.
